New Battery Chargers for Electric, Hybrid AWPs

Delta-Q Technologies offers two new IC Series battery charging solutions for electric and hybrid aerial work platforms. The new IC900 and IC1200 Industrial Battery Chargers join the company’s IC650 Charger to form a common charging platform for use across manufacturer’s product lines.

w Delta-Q-IC-Series-ChargersThe chargers are designed for high reliability to handle difficult operating conditions faced by electric scissor lifts, boom lifts, and hybrid boom lifts, offering precise charging of lead acid (wet/flooded, sealed AGM or gel) or lithium-ion batteries. The three models in the IC Series lineup provide 650, 900 and 1200 watts of DC output power, respectively, and all are available in 24-, 36- and 48-volt models.

The company says full commercial production begins in March 2016. Specifications for the chargers are available at Delta-Q.com.

The chargers will meet the machine uptime requirements of users such as rental and construction companies, said Jeff Everett, IC Series product manager at Delta-Q. “As a common technology platform, these chargers make machines easier to use and maintain, and provide flexibility for different battery types."

IC Series chargers have IP66-rated ingress protection to seal out dirt and fluids; their mechanical design and component selection help resist vibration, shock and temperature extremes.

All IC Series chargers have a wide AC input range and are usable on any single-phase electrical grid worldwide. The IC650 holds broad regulatory approvals and identical approvals are intended for the IC900 and IC1200.
