Atlas Copco Launches Tier 4 Final QAS 25 Generator

Atlas Copco Portable Energy announced the release of its new QAS 25 generator, which is equipped with an Isuzu 4LE engine and a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to achieve Tier 4 Final emission levels. Built for heavy-duty use, it can be used for prime or standby power.

Atlas Copco QAS 25 T4FThe QAS 25 is mounted on a durable frame and surrounded by an enclosure formed from galvanneal steel and powder coated for a long-lasting, scratch- and corrosion-resistant surface. The generator is equipped with a dependable Leroy Somer AREP alternator, comfortable and easy-to-use DeepSea 4510 controls and it comes standard with two-wire remote start capability. Its 72-gallon fuel tank provides a 45-hour run time.

The QAS 25 enclosure is sound attenuated and has a vertical radiator and exhaust discharge to ensure low dBA levels for use on noise-sensitive jobsites, residential areas or at events. Its voltage selector switch allows operators to adjust the machine’s output to 480 and 208/240 volt 3-phase settings as well as 120/240 volt single phase for varying applications and equipment. For additional safety, the locking front panel voltage adjust potentiometer prevents unintentional adjustments to the voltage, which can cause overheating or equipment damage. This versatility gives users greater flexibility on the jobsite and can increase utilization at rental centers. The 120vac GFCI duplex receptacles are always powered, giving users the ability to operate small hand tools while running larger loads, such as vendor stands or jobsite trailers.

Atlas Copco designed the QAS 25 for fast and easy maintenance with large doors and all maintenance points on one side of the machine. The DOC after-treatment device requires no regeneration or maintenance. The engine meets Tier 4 Final emissions without the need for diesel exhaust fluid or a diesel particulate filter system. Further, engine fluids are plumbed to the edge of the skid to eliminate the hassle of maneuvering pans into the interior space. The standard spillage free base-frame safeguards the site and protects the environment. It’s sized to contain 110 percent of all the machines fluids and fuel, giving users confidence in the most environmentally sensitive areas.

The QAS 25 comes equipped with an optional trailer with robust tie-downs for transport on a flatbed. Skid units contain fork pockets for forklift transfer. All units come with a standard single-point lifting eye in the enclosure for maneuvering with a crane.
