New Scissor Lift From Genie

Genie's GS-4047 self-propelled electric scissor lift is ANSI/CSA certified, lifts up to 550 lbs to a maximum working height of 45 ft and drives at full height. It's designed to meet the demands of tightly packed, high rise indoor spaces found in modern tilt up warehouse construction.

Genie GS4047The scissor lift’s top applications include industrial construction, warehouse maintenance, maintenance and indoor painting and cleanup. “We are extremely excited to bring this product to the North American market,” said Karen Stash, Senior Director Marketing and Product Management, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP). “This unit has seen great success in Europe, and it is already being met with enthusiasm in the US.”

Dual front-wheel drive and a zero inside turning radius, combined with a compact footprint of just 8 ft long and 47 in wide stowed, the GS-4047 scissor lift can manuever around tight work environments. A 3 ft extension deck allows workers and tools to utilize the maximum amount of platform workspace. A centered link stack under the platform provides the operator with a stable feel.

Heavy-duty steel swing-out service trays allow for access to all machine components for easy service and maintenance, and the scissor has parts commonality with the popular Genie GS scissor series, so service departments are able to stock fewer parts and technicians can apply existing maintenance knowledge.

The GS-4047 has a travel speed of up to 1.9 mph and is able to handle up to 25 percent gradient to get up slopes and loading ramps. A 24 V 300 Ah battery pack offers more power for getting around jobsites and enables the operator to operate for a full day of work.

“This model is designed to offer an excellent combination of height and lifting capacity combined with powerful drive motors to maximize performance,” said Mark Powell, Scissors Product Manager, Terex AWP. “In addition, the strength and rigidity of the unit will help increase operator confidence when working from a narrow platform at full height.”

The four-wheel braking system combines dual rear spring, hydraulically-released brakes with dual front wheel hydraulic dynamic braking, making the unit extremely responsive. The brakes are fully enclosed in steel casing for protection against worksite debris and machine wear, resulting in a longer brake life cycle.

The lift incorporates the SmartLink control system that offers the operator fully proportional lift and drive for precise positioning in the work environment. In addition, SmartLink allows for improved troubleshooting with onboard easy to read and user-friendly machine adjustments.
