New Cyclone Air Cleaner, Generator Enhancements from Honda

Honda has introduced a newly designed Cyclone Air Cleaner to be made available on select Honda GX Series commercial engine models. Select Honda GX160, GX200, GX270 and GX390 engines will be offered with the new air cleaner starting in 2017.

The air cleaner has a more compact design and fits more tightly within the overall shape of each GX engine model.  The new, smaller design specifically targets OEM applications where reduced overall engine dimensions are critical. The new Cyclone Air Cleaner will offer the same superior filtration efficiency with a triple-cleaning chamber that will be particularly useful in commercial applications where the equipment operates in extremely dusty conditions.

The company also announced that it has enhanced some of its generator models with ground fault  interrupter (GFCIi) technology on its EB6500 Industrial Series generator, the Honda EM5000 Deluxe Series generator and the Honda EG4000 Economy Series generator, equiping each with GFCI 20 amp duplex receptacles.

The EB6500, powered by the Honda iGX390 commercial grade overhead valve (OHV) engine and supported by a heavy-duty frame, provides 6,500 watts 120/240V of backup power and features the Intelligent Automatic Voltage Regulation (iAVR) Power feature to enhance performance and power output. With the iAVR, the EB6500 can produce up to 7,000 watts of power for as long as 10 seconds, allowing the user to start high-amp load applications, such as air compressors, that require additional power to start.

The Honda EG4000 Economy Series generator produces 4,000 watts 120/240V of backup power and features Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (DAVR) technology for consistent stable power. It has a run time up to 9.4 hours at the 50 percent load and a dB(A) rating of 72, the EG4000 generator features the Honda GX270 engine.
