Bobcat E20 mini excavatorE20 compact excavator
The Bobcat E20 compact excavator performs well in tight areas with minimal repositioning, sources report. The undercarriage can hydraulically retract to 39 inches for travel, then expand to 54 inches for a wider footprint and greater performance. Equipped with a Tier 4 Final-compliant engine, it has zero tail swing for versatility and maneuverability on even the most compact job sites. Hyundai mini excavatorThe new 9A series compact excavators from Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas feature Hyundai quick-couplers for easy switching between attachments. The quick-coupler is standard on all 9A series models except the smallest unit, the R17Z-9A. Auxiliary hydraulic piping also is standard, accommodating a variety of attachments. The three largest models have a new hydraulic pump system that improves control and speed. Bushings have long lubrication intervals; integrated preheating systems extend service intervals and reduce machine downtime.  www.hcamericas.com

The new Kobelco SK45SRX mini excavator features the iNDr+E Kobelco cooling system found on larger Kobelco excavators. This exclusive, eco-friendly cooling system reduces noise to 75 dBa. In S-mode, fuel consumption can be reduced by 25 percent. Equipped with a Tier 4 Final-compliant engine, it offers outstanding hydraulic performance, sources report. The integrated flow pump system delivers fast and smooth operation even under heavy loads. Automatic two-speed transport assures smooth and efficient travel. A large boom and arm ensure a wide working range, while a short tail swing improves operating efficiency in confined spaces. It can be equipped with the new four-way blade.

CX31B mini excavator
The Case CX31B mini excavator features a heavy-duty undercarriage with heavy plate guards that prevent damage to hydraulic motors, making it an excellent addition to any rental fleet. It features a fuel-efficient Tier 4 Final-compliant engine that delivers faster response while meeting environmental standards. It offers parallel, unobstructed operation near tree lines and foundations with its zero tail swing and independent center swing boom. It also features a foot pedal swing-boom control.

JCB mini excavator

JCB model additions
JCB adds three compact excavator models with operating weights from 10,000 to 12,500 pounds in conventional and zero tail-swing configurations. They feature 500-hour greasing intervals; improved cab instrumentation and up to 18 percent increase in cab capacity; 11-percent improvement in visibility; 9-percent boost to bucket breakout; 5-percent additional dump height and 2-percent more powerful bucket breakout force. The 48Z-1 replaces the 8045Z; the 55Z-1 replaces the 8055ZTS/RTS; and JCB added a new 57C-1 model. They share a durable design proven on the larger machines in JCB’s next-generation compact excavator range, with 100-percent steel bodywork and sturdy, four-plate dipper arm construction.   www.jcbna.com

Kubota KX seriesThree-ton mini excavator
Available in January 2017, Kubota adds to its KX excavator line with the new 3-ton class KX033-4 compact excavator. It features a 24.8 gross hp. engine, breakout force of 8,138 pounds and a digging depth of 10 feet 6 inches. A valve allows auxiliary oil to be diverted without removing the thumb, making attachment use easier. It also features many comfort enhancements including a roomier cab, large entrance, increased leg room, digital panel and enhanced ergonomics to reduce operator fatigue on the job.
