AWP Specialist Expands Used Equipment Services
Wholesale lifting equipment rental and sales specialist US Markets has launched a used equipment sales and purchase service, focusing on pre-owned and re-conditioned boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and carry deck cranes. The company has tapped Mike Ferguson as Used Equipment Manager.
Ferguson, who recently joined US Markets, brings more than 20 years of experience in sales management and new business development from several national lifting equipment sales and rental companies. Most recently, he served as Territory Manager for IronPlanet, a leading online marketplace for used construction equipment. Prior to that, he was VP of Sales for Acme Lift, where he partnered with national and regional rental companies to negotiate strategic sourcing agreements in order to increase their rental revenue and equipment utilization.
US Markets specializes in aerial work platform and telescopic handler equipment. Working in coordination with the company’s Re-rental, Fleet, and Restoration Facility teams, the Used Equipment Department stays abreast of market demand and knows which equipment delivers the lowest total ownership costs. “Odds are good that we’ll have the equipment customers are looking for, but if we don’t, we will find it,” said Ferguson. "Plus, we can offer our customers any level of re-conditioning they desire.”
