ICUEE Event Breaks Attendance Record

ICUEE - billed as "The Demo Expo" - drew more than 18,000 attendees, a 13 percent growth over the previous (2013) event, according to the event management. Officially stated as the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition, setting a new attendance record suggests a positive outlook for the market.

With a significant outside exhibit area and dozens of exhibitors providing attendees with hands-on, in-the-seat 'test drive' capability, the event emphasizes that contractors and utility workers have a chance to see what's new in the marketplace. The show, which ends today (Thursday, October 1) and experienced consistent rain all day Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday morning.

Despite the soggy weather and demo grounds, plenty of attendees toured inside exhibits and outside exhibits to see what exhibitors had to offer. ICUEE 2015 Registrants came from all 50 states, nine of the 10 Canadian provinces and more than 60 other countries worldwide, according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the show's owner and producer.

The 2015 show also set records for exhibit space and number of exhibitors, with more than 950 exhibitors and more than 1.2 million net square feet of exhibit space. The event is held every other year.

“This is our most comprehensive ICUEE ever, and there has been tremendous enthusiasm and interaction among attendees and exhibitors from Day One, when the official Kentucky Derby bugler opened the show,” said Show Director Sara Truesdale Mooney.

“Attendees are finding more companies, product innovations and product demos – plus quality networking with industry experts and peers that really increases the value of the show,” said Mooney.
