Atlas Copco Appoints Product Specialists 

Atlas Copco has appointed five new product specialists to several of its lines. Atlas Copco Dynapac has appointed Jerry Hackett to the position of regional sales manager – south central U.S., and Pat Burnham as product manager, heavy compaction. Odie Baca has accepted the position of product development specialist – central U.S. with Atlas Copco Construction Equipment. That group also has added Michael Sagermann as its business line manager in the U.S. for Portable Energy products, and John Garcia as regional channel manager, generators, for the western U.S.


Hackett has been with Atlas Copco Mining, Rock Excavation and Construction LLC since March 2013 as a Dynapac sales representative with the Atlas Copco store in Temecula, California. With a broad background in a variety of retail and operational roles in the construction equipment industry, Hackett has proven experience driving product penetration and building customer loyalty. Since joining Atlas Copco, he has grown Dynapac’s market presence throughout southern California and will continue to do so in the south central region, which includes New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

With more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Burnham will be responsible for building the Dynapac soil and asphalt compaction lines in the United States. In this role, Burnham will be the leading expert in heavy compaction products in all business segments and will assist the sales channel teams with developing opportunities. He also will support Atlas Copco’s product development teams with market information, product knowledge and sales strategy for the U.S. market.

Baca has experience in the equipment rental industry and has worked at several Atlas Copco service centers, so he has a broad knowledge of Atlas Copco products and applications. In his new role, Baca supports the sales of all products in the Construction Tools business line through demonstrations and dealer visits while working with regional channel managers to identify further growth opportunities.

Sagermann joined Atlas Copco in 1993 as a sales engineer for Portable Energy and Construction Tools products in Ontario, Canada, before becoming business line manager – Canada for the Portable Energy Division from 1998 to 2005. In 2008, he became a product manager for middle-range portable compressors, and held the position of regional business line manager for Portable Energy in the Middle East.

Garcia brings more than 20 years of sales experience and market development in the mobile diesel generator business to Atlas Copco. In his new role, he is responsible for developing generator and light tower business in the western U.S. for the Portable Energy Division.
