Auction Sale Values, Used Equipment Prices Dip
Used equipment prices and auction sales dipped in July, notes the Rouse Rental Report in its August issue. The July Rouse Value Index for uesed euqipment prices decreaset to 45.7, down 1.5% from June. July Auction sales averaged 9.4% lower than Rouse June Forced Liquidation values, the report states.
The July Rouse Value Index was affected primarily by weaker recovers seen in auction transactions for the three months ending in July of this year. Despite the softness, the Index is 5.5% higher than the prior peak of 43.3 in April 2007; and about 54% higher than the trough of 29.7 in June 2009.
