AEM Leaders, Lawmakers Discuss Transportation Future

Three key members of Congress joined Association of Equipment Manufacturers leaders for an exclusive discussion over the future of transportation in America, the AEM reports.

The dinner, organized by The Hill newspaper, included AEM Chair John Patterson of JCB Inc., Vice Chair Leif Magnusson of CLAAS of America, Astec Industries Group President Rick Patek and AGCO Vice President Bill Hurley.

Members of Congress in attendance included Ohio Rep. Jim Renacci (R), New York Rep. Richard Hanna (R) and Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell (D).

The dinner was intended to elevate discussion on how policymakers could shape legislation to address ways infrastructure should change to meet evolving and emerging forms of transportation. AEM has been consistently calling on legislators to produce a long-term highway bill.
