Rouse Rental Report Highlights
Used equipment prices increased very slightly, up 0.4% in March compared to February values, notes the Rouse Rental Report in its April newsletter.
The March Rouse Value Index for used equipment prices was at 46.6, which is 7.7% higher than the prior peak period of 43.3 in April 2007, and 57.1% higher than prior trough period of 29.7 in June 2009. Tracking 5,112 units sold at 32 separate auctions, the company reports that March auction sales of rental and construction equipment averaged 5.2% higher than the February values. Achieved rental rates, measured by the Rouse Rate Index, decreased 0.5% on average, based on data from the rental companies that participate in the Rouse Analytics Rental Metrics Benchmark Service.
