CASE Introduces New D Series Excavators
Jim Hasler, vice president, North America for CASE Construction Equipment, kicked off a press event on Monday saying the company had focused on “practical and intuitive innovation” in designing its new D series excavators. Touting boom speed, smooth pilot controls and enhanced operator comfort, he said the new excavators will deliver “higher productivity for lower owning and operating costs.”
Their tests and in-field user results show up to a 12% increase in cycle times and fuel efficiency improvement of up to 14%. The machines have an “Intelligent Hydraulic System” that use a new, electronically-controlled pump and system of sensors that redirects hydraulic oil to the where it’s needed based on the machine’s function, helping operators yield smoother, faster movement for improved cycle times. The excavators are covered by the company’s ProCare program, which includes 3-year/3000-hour full machine warranty, a planned maintenance program for that same duration, plus a 3-year subscription to the CASE telematics system.
