Right Place, Good Timing for Extreme Telehandler

Las Vegas-based Xtreme Manufacturing showcased North America’s largest rough terrain telehandler at the World of Concrete in February. The XR7038 displayed was purchased by Bigge Crane and immediately put to work on a major highway project.

Following the show, Bigge Cranes kindly loaned the machine to assist EC Source, a customer of Ahern Rentals, who was working close to the Xtreme Manufacturing facility at the time.  EC Source was installing new power poles for Project Neon, the Nevada DOT’s major “design-build” project on I-15 in Vegas.

Bigge CranesThe Xtreme XR7038 was required to lift one of the largest power pole sections from the delivery truck at EC Source’s yard.  Weighing in at 53,000 lbs., the pole exceeded the lifting capabilities of other equipment on site that day.  The XR7038, which can lift up to 70,000 lbs., handled the task, helping make the job very quick and easy without the need for a crane.

Bigge Cranes is one of North America’s leading heavy lift and specialized transportation providers who also deals new and used cranes. Bigge is a longstanding Xtreme customer with 20 machines in their fleet.  They are also an approved Xtreme dealer.
