Vacuum Excavation Workshop for Job Site Damage Prevention
Vacuum excavation offers an effective way to expose underground utilities and help prevent damage to infrastructure. As fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and other applications grow, contractors and operators need to be aware of options for safe digging.
Because vacuum excavators can be used to expose underground utilities, they can help reduce costs and avoid damaging existing infrastructure. For a better understanding of the value and application of vacuum excavation, Ditch Witch, McLaughlin Group and Vac-Tron are hosting a hands-on Vacuum Excavation for Exposing Utilities workshop at the Common Ground Alliance 811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo on March 9, 2016.
Attendees will learn the benefits of vacuum excavation, operating techniques and best practices for site preparation and safety. Workshop attendees will also have the opportunity to operate equipment and experiment on various underground conditions. Presenters are Jason Proctor, Ditch Witch; Dave Gasmovic, McLaughlin Group Inc.; and Don Buckner, Vac-Tron Equipment.
