Ditch Witch Garners Three Product Awards
The Construction Equipment Top 100 Awards for 2014 have recognized three underground-construction products from the Ditch Witch organization – the JT60 and JT9 horizontal directional drills, and the FXT50 truck vacuum excavator.
Construction Equipment magazine conducts the annual awards program to recognize the construction industry’s most significant new products of the year. In particular, the awards pay special attention to equipment manufacturers’ innovations that help customers improve productivity, efficiency and safety. Winning products were chosen from several hundred product introductions from the last year.
“We are honored to have our products selected in three different underground construction categories in a single year,” said Shan Kirtley, vice president of sales and marketing, the Ditch Witch organization. “These awards recognize the Ditch Witch product innovation that’s taking place every day to help our customers do more with their time.”
The JT60 horizontal directional drill delivers exceptional drilling performance for utilities installations, providing 60,000 pounds of thrust and pullback and 9,000 pounds of rotational torque. The JT9 directional drill combines the easy operation of smaller horizontal directional drills with the advanced features found in larger drilling machines. The JT9’s 9,000 pounds of pullback force make it the most powerful drill in its class.
The FXT50 truck vacuum excavator is designed to mount directly on a truck’s frame rails, allowing the system to independently flex for maximum structural integrity. The system can perform numerous jobs – from potholing to clean-up of spills, fluids and debris – while operating more quietly than any other system in its horsepower class.
