Compact track loader precision grader

New Holland’s new blade attachment uses the same 2D and 3D machine-control technologies found on full-sized motor graders, allowing contractors to use their compact track loader as a fine grading solution.

“The Precision Grader Blade is designed for contractors that could not previously rationalize the purchase of a motor grader due to size, site access or cost, but they still need the same power and precision,” says Ryan Anderson, construction product marketing manager, New Holland, North America. “It transforms a large-frame CTL, that many contractors already use, into a powerful, fine grading solution capable of completing jobs where there is limited access for a motor grader.”

New Holland precision grader for large-frame compact track loaders
New Holland’s new blade attachment uses the same 2D and 3D machine-control technologies found on full-sized motor graders, allowing contractors to use their compact track loader as a fine grading solution.

The New Holland Precision Grader Blade features plug and play, easily connecting with the auxiliary hydraulics and 14-pin electrical connection of a large-frame CTL. The attachment can be used with laser receivers, sonic tracers, GNSS/GPS and total stations. The 108-inch moldboard is capable of changing slope and elevation through its dual lift cylinders whether working on a flat plane, singular or dual sloped surfaces or contours.

At a full rotation, 60 degrees of combined blade rotation gives 97 inches of grading width, improving windrowing and completing the job in fewer passes. With 26 inches of combined side shift, operators to grade around structures without having to reposition the machine. Operators can choose between the complete control of manual mode or the ease and precision of automatic mode.

This attachment features no daily and minimal long-term maintenance with powder-coated metal surfaces, composite greaseless bushings at the pivot points, and heavy-duty axles with sealed hubs. A bolt-on reversible cutting edge comes standard with the blade attachment. Contractors have the add-on options of twin mirrors for better visibility down to the moldboard and bolt-on side plates for improved material containment.

“Having the compatibility of the New Holland Precision Grader Blade with CTLs that contractors already own allows for similar grading performance and precision of a full-sized motor grader but set at a lower cost,” says Anderson. “All the while, contractors have CTL machine control advantages for fine grading applications with improved productivity, better job quality, and less wear overtime on their equipment. The grader attachment is the optimal tool for contractors to maximize profitable uptime and get the most out of the CTL.”
