Mustang Grows Dealer Network With Power Pro Equipment
Mustang has added Power Pro Equipment to its dealer network. Power Pro Equipment has been in business since 1980 and provides sales and service to the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. 

Hy-Brid Lifts Adds ALL Aerials as Dealer
Custom Equipment Inc. has added Ohio-based ALL Aerials, a division of ALL Family of Companies, to its dealer network. The company will rent, sell and service HB-1030 and HB-1430 Hy-Brid Lifts.

Home Builders "Gradually Adding Inventory"
Sales of newly built, single family homes jumped 5.7 percent in August, according to HUD and the U.S. Census Bureau data. The increase, off an upwardly revised July number, represents a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 552,000 units. 

Terex AWP Appoints Territory Sales Manager
Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has appointed Mike Flanagan as Territory Sales Manager for the states of Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Flanagan will be responsible for supporting customers in the region while developing, executing and growing Genie product sales.

Ditch Witch Launching Several New Products
Focusing on what it calls "customer-driven equipment", Ditch Witch is introducing several new products at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) next week - Sep. 29 to Oct. 1 - in Louisville, Kentucky. The equipment features improved efficiency, operator comfort and tooling configuation. 

Builder Confidence Level Hits 10-Year High
Builder confidence, measured by the NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index slid up a point in September. Now at 62, it's the highest level in 10 years, reports NAHB chief economist David Crowe. Present sales indicator and traffic indicator both increased, but the measure of future sales declined to 68, he notes.

Takeuchi Hires New Northwest Regional Product Manager
Takeuchi announced that Kent Cantrell is the company's new Northwest Regional Product Manager. Cantrell will be responsible for all development and activity for equipment sales within the Northwest region.

Highway Fund Good Until Next June?
Writing on The Hill, Keith Lang reports that the Federal DOT updated its Highway Trust Fund ticker, adding six months to its run-out-of-money timeline. Funding for infrastructure projects is now expected to dry up in June, 2016. 

Doosan Offers New Safety Training Videos
Doosan introduces its first safety training videos for rental companies, dealers and contractors who own or operate articulated dump trucks (ADTs), crawler and wheel excavators or wheel loaders. You can buy a single DVD from a Doosan heavy equipment dealer or watch the English version of the videos online at the company's website. 

JCB Expands Dealer Network
Jungclaus Implement, Glencoe, Minnesota, joins JCB’s North American dealer network. Jungclaus JCB’s equipment line includes articulated wheel loaders, rough terrain forklifts, compact Loadalls, compact wheel loaders, skid steer loaders and high-speed Fastrac agricultural tractors. 

Commercial Construction Outlook Continues Upward Path
The Dodge Momentum Index increased 2.8 % in August, according to Dodge Data & Analytics. The Momentum Index, which now sits at 128.3 (2000=100) is a monthly measure of the first or initial reports for nonresidential building projects in planning.

Habitat for Humanity Gets Skyjack Support 
Skyjack donated a VR843E telehandler to help haul and lift roofing material during the Home Builders Blitz, teaming up with Habitat for Humanity's branch in Birmingham, Ala. The group was building a neighborhood of houses to benefit low-income families.  

Auction Sale Values, Used Equipment Prices Dip
Used equipment prices and auction sales dipped in July, notes the Rouse Rental Report in its August issue. The July Rouse Value Index for uesed euqipment prices decreaset to 45.7, down 1.5% from June. July Auction sales averaged 9.4% lower than Rouse June Forced Liquidation values, the report states.

Gehl Adds Bertling Equipment Rental to Dealer Network
Gehl has added  Bertling Equipment Rental, LLC to the Company's dealer network.  Bertling Equipment Rental provides sales and service in the south central Texas area.

Bertling will offer Gehl skid loaders, track loaders, compact excavators and telescopic handlers. 

Fall Auction Schedule From IronPlanet, Cat Auctions
IronPlanet announced five regional Cat Auction Services onsite auctions in the U.S. and Canada for this fall, and that it is expanding its 2016 kick-off auction in Orlando, Florida to four days.

Construction Spending Continues Growth
Numbers released today show that construction spending for July grew 0.7 percent over upwardly-revised June numbers, putting it 13.7 percent higher than July 2014. Year-to-date, construction spending is 9.3% higher than what the industry posted last year, the U.S. Census Bureau and Department of Commerce report.
