World of Concrete Reports Strong Attendance
Boasting its strongest event in seven years, World of Concrete drew more than 60,000 attendees and had more than 1,530 exhibitors. The trade show needed nearly 744,000 square feet for exhibitors to showcase their products and services.

Wacker Neuson Announces New North American Regional President

Power Equipment Adds Takeuchi to Kingsport Branch
Power Equipment Co. in Kingsport, Tennessee will now sell Takeuchi equipment, including excavators, skid steers, track loaders, and wheel loaders. Four of the six Power Equipment locations now sell Takeuchi equipment.

New Offices for FTG Equipment Solutions
FTG Equipment Solutions has moved into a new headquarter facility in Carney's Point, NJ, it was announced by company president, Ron Johnson and Chairman, Scott Wistar. The new FTG facility has 30,000 square feet of warehouse space, staging area, administrative and sales offices, training/conference facility, spare parts mezzanine and expanded parking.

Papé Machinery Expands Its Atlas Copco Line
Papé Machinery is expanding the line of Atlas Copco equipment it offers and will rent, sell and service the equipment at all of its 21 locations in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. This includes air compressors, concrete tools and hydraulic attachments, in addition to the Dynapac asphalt rollers, pavers and soil rollers already served.

Dodge Momentum Index Rises in January
The Dodge Momentum Index rose 2.4% in January to 126.4 (2000=100) from its December reading of 123.4. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

JCB Hosts Annual Training Event
JCB recently hosted 163 dealer sales people, part of a week-long construction equipment training event, and the company's ongoing JCB Field Days initiative to get sales people and customers into the seat of JCB machines.

STAFDA's Planning Its 40th Annual Trade Show
Plans are underway for STAFDA's 40th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Atlanta, November 6-8. All meeting events and the Trade Show will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center. The opening party will be at the adjacent College Football Hall of Fame.

Construction Employment Highest Since 2008
While the pace of additional construction jobs has slowed and nonresidential contractors have reduced employee ranks, the overall construction industry employment numbers hit the highest level since 2008 and the industry's unemployment rate hit a 17-year low, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America.

United Rentals Shows Q4 Slip in Rental Revenue
United Rentals reported a 3.2 percent decrease in year-over-year rental revenue for the fourth quarter of 2015. On a full-year basis, however, rental revenue was up 2.3 percent over 2014.

Used Equipment Prices Decrease
Used equipment prices slipped 0.8% from November values, according to the December Rouse Value Index. Primarily driven by weaker recoveries at auction, the Index shows prices at 44.2, holding about 2 percent higher than the April 2007 peak and 48.8 percent higher than the June 2009 trough.
