Manitou has added Walter Payton Power Equipment, LLC to its dealer network. Walter Payton Power Equipment provides sales and service to the Midwest with locations in Taylor, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; Lebanon, Indiana and Evansville, Indiana.

Point of Rental Software Opens Australia Office
Point of Rental Software, based in Texas, has opened a new location in Melbourne, Australia. The company established its Australian branch to better serve clients in that region, with its award-winning software products. 

Manitou Adds to Dealer Network
Manitou welcomes Fernbridge Tractor & Equipment Co. to the Manitou dealer network. Fernbridge Tractor & Equipment Co. is located in Fortuna California serving the Humbolt, Del-Norte and Trinity counties for Manitou rough terrain vertical masted forklifts, semi-industrial vertical masted forklifts, and agricultural telescopic handlers. 

Wynne Acquires Result Group Inc.
Wynne Systems, a provider of ERP solutions for rental equipment companies, has acquired Result Group Inc. The acquisition expands Wynne’s customer base to include specialist rental and construction companies, adding rentalresult to the company’s portfolio.

United Rentals to Use 5D Robotics for Autonomous Driving
United Rentals and 5D Robotics, Inc. have teamed up to bring autonomous driving technology to United Rentals equipment operations. The 5D solution prevents collisions, enables multiple vehicles to follow a person or lead vehicle (“wagon-training”), and allows operators to quickly and easily create and modify autonomous paths throughout a facility.

New Branding for Point of Rental Software
Point of Rental Software, Inc., has introduced its new branding, including a new logo, colors, and product names. With customer growth at an all-time high and the company's Australia office opening in January, Point of Rental opted for the brand makeover not only to differentiate its products, but also to better reflect that growth.

Durante Rentals Acquires Quality Rent All Inc. of Carmel, NY
Durante Rentals has opened a new location with its acquisition of Quality Rent All, Inc. in Carmel, New York. It's Durante Rentals' fifth location and its third outside of the five boroughs of New York. 

Bobcat, Doosan Dedicate New STEM Building at NDSU
North Dakota State University (NDSU), with Bobcat Company and Doosan, dedicated the university's new Science,Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Classroom and Lab Building. According to NDSU, the cross-functional design of the facility — which opens to students in January — breaks from the tradition of an academic building belonging to a particular discipline or department.

Manitou Americas Continues 26-Year Road America Partnership
Manitou Americas, Inc. delivered two new Gehl RS Series Telescopic Handlers to Road America, a four-mile, 14-turn road circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Since 1990 the company and track have partnered, with Manitou Americas providing Gehl and Manitou constructoin product to help Road America keep the track and ground maintained, to place concrete dividers for track safety and even removing disabled cars from the track.

Single-Family Starts Hit 7-Year High
November data shows housing starts jumping 10.5 percent, with single-family production climbing 7.6 percent and multifamily continuing its strong pace, rising 16.4 percent. Builder confidence in the new, single-family home market remained relatively flat in December, dropping one point to 61 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI).

Private Equity Firm Acquires Grand Equipment
Blackford Capital, a national private equity firm headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., has invested in Hudsonville, Mich.-based Grand Equipment, a family owned and operated, construction equipment distributor offering rentals, new and used equipment sales, parts and service.

Ditch Witch Founder, Industry Icon Ed Malzahn Dies at 94
The Ditch Witch family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of the company's founder and industry icon Ed Malzahn. Malzahn died Friday. He was 94.

Skyworks Acquires JLG's 100,000th Telehandler
Sixteen years after the first telehandler rolled off the production line, JLG delivered a specially designed commemorative 100,000th telehandler to Skyworks LLC of Buffalo, New York. The modified G10-55A was the one and only commemorative telehandler built in North America.

Momentum Rental and Sales Adds Two Locations
Momentum Rental and Sales, an Atlas Copco dealer in Port Lavaca, Texas, opened two new facilities — one in Corpus Christi and another in Richwood, Texas. With the new locations, Momentum extends Atlas Copco’s equipment and support offering to the growing petrochemical and refinery customers in those areas.

Proxibid appointed Tom McSweeney as Senior Vice President of Sales. McSweeney’s focus will be on growing Proxibid’s presence in the heavy equipment and industrial machinery markets.

Subaru's Distribution Network Grows
Subaru Industrial Power Products has added five companies to its distribution network. The move expands customer access to standalone engines and replacement parts in 13 states. The five new distributors — Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation, LL Johnson Distributing Company, RBI Corporation, Total Energy Systems, and Golden Eagle Distributing Corporation — offer sales and service support for customer needs to maintain Subaru engines on a wide range of machines.

Terramac Adds Bobcat of St. Louis as Dealer
Bobcat of St. Louis is now an authorized Terramac dealer, representing the Terramac product line from its eight locations, covering designated areas of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee. 

Club Car Launches Tech Team for Equipment Rental Customers
Club Car has formed a UTV Technical Support Team dedicated to rental customers, says Resorts and Rentals Marketing Leader Mary A. Sicard. The company has a 23-year veterantechnician leading the team and serving as a liaison between rental customers, engineering, product development, aftermarket and other Club Car divisions.

Titan Machinery Q3 Revenue Drops 30%
Titan Machinery's results for its fiscal third quarter of 2016 showed a 30% drop, posting revenue of $345 million this year compared to $493.1 million compared to last year. It also said revenue from rental and other was $21.3 million for the  quarter, compared to $26.6 in Q3 last year, a dip of 19.9%. 

Record Attendance for Point of Rental Conference
Hosting nearly 200 customers, Point of Rental had record attendance at its sold-out 2015 International Conference. Held in Fort Worth, the 3-day event included training seminars and networking opportunities.

Used Equipment Prices Continue to Decline
The Rouse Value Index for used equipment prices decreased less than one percent in October compared to September, according to the November Rouse Rental Report. However, the 0.6% decline follows five consecutive months of price slippage, driven by weaker auction recoveries, the report states.

Redesigned Dynapac Website Launched
Atlas Copco Construction Equipment's redesigned Dynapac website offers an easily navigable, one-stop source for information and support for its complete line of compaction and paving equipment. In addition to product information it helps visitors find used equipment and training materials and order brochures, manuals and parts. 

Highway Bill Sent to White House
The 5-year, $305 billion highway bill was sent to the White House December 3. The Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act includes funding for highways, public transit, Amtrack and highway safety programs. It also renews the Export-Import Bank and restores a crop-insurance subsidy, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. 

Wacker Neuson Showing Significant Growth, Launching Several New Products
Despite what company regional president Johannes Schulze Vohren calls “the abyss” of the 2008 to 2009 recession, Wacker Neuson has posted surprising growth from 2004 through 2014, tripling in revenue. The growth is a direct result of the company’s expansion in products and emphasis on compact equipment, he noted at a recent press conference held at the company’s Menomonee Falls, WIs., facility where they introduced several new products.  

Durante Rentals Adds Industry Veteran to Management Team
Durante Rentals, the leader in construction equipment rentals in the New York area, today announced a new addition to their sales management team with the hiring of Damien Rispoli. In his new role, Rispoli will be managing and developing Durante Rentals newest location opening in March of 2016.
